disappointing changes on return

slipped standards dirty carpet

The grounds are lovely. It was exciting to stay again.

This was not as good as previous stays. standards seem to have slipped since my last visits. the room was clean but it hadn't been hoovered properly. I was glad i had my slippers. the tea tray was also disappointing with just two packets of biscuits and it wasn't replenished the next day.

a reflective stay

amazing team smooth weekend beautiful room first class food

anna mckenzie, my customer service contact, were great. carl and sandie also were excellent to ensure a smooth weekend. the churchill room is beautiful and perfect for events. the food provided was first class. i loved the walks around the grounds and used the pool.

queues were long at check-in, i was waiting 25 mins. no shower gel was in the room initially. i had to go down to reception to get it.

the market kitchen offers a variety of tasty food options. i noticed the brasserie 32 and traveling duke also had good food. there is a good amount of choices, something for every mood you may have.

the hotel has a swimming pool and sauna which were both acceptable. the grounds are vast and beautiful, i walked around it at leisure. plenty of lifts available for easy access throughout the large manor house.

the beautiful double room had air conditioning, which i greatly appreciated. a walk in shower made the room accessible. black out curtains were included, very helpful for rest and relaxation after a day of exploring.

slow service high price

The grounds and the main building were exquisite. The food quality seemed acceptable.

I had several issues . The service felt quite slow. The waiting staff seemed under-trained, there were a lot of delays with orders. drinks were overpriced. Nearly £12 for a large glass of wine seemed excessive.

decent stay, some small issues

spacious room walk-in shower loud music cold chips

my room was spacious. it had a walk-in shower and that worked for my disability. the grounds are vast, i could walk around.

the music was too loud one night. i rang reception and they did turn it down, but only a bit. some chips was cold in the bar. i had to ask for them to be reheated.
