a decent stay

friendly staff efficient staff pleasant room breakfast buffet multiple restaurants parking cost excessive parking
the staff was friendly and efficient (i really appreciated their help). the room was clean and pleasant with a lovely view. the breakfast was amazing, especially the self-service buffet with lots of choices.
There are 5 restaurants in the complex, but only 3 are on site. some are only accessible by driving or using a courtesy bus. parking cost £20 a night. I thought that was excessive. most hotels do not charge for parking.

long queues neglected staircases
the breakfast queues were quite long, especially if you arrived after 8:30 am, i had to wait over five minutes just to get seated (i wasn't expecting this in a five-star hotel). also, a service charge was automatically added to the bar and restaurant bills, i felt the service didn't always justify the cost. the staircases seemed a bit neglected, i noticed some maintenance issues, perhaps because most people use the lifts.

The staff were very friendly! The room was large and clean. The food offered a great choice. They cater for everyone. The spa was relaxing.
We queued at check-in after a long drive. We were not told about a £100 deposit. The room was noisy. It was supposedly because of the wind.
