great jungle stay
hillside funicular good choice riverside spa ledge pool
I really liked the hillside funicular. It helped a lot with the steep terrain. the hotel breakfast included many good choices, and the staff were really on the ball. i had a couples massage at the riverside spa. The jungle sounds were so relaxing. the pool had a ledge that let you sit and drink cocktails.
the dinner menu felt slightly limited for my taste, even if the food was good.

The hotel is away from city noises. It is really in the jungle. the ride into town takes about 40 minutes, so it is a plus for people wanting quiet. it is on a steep slope with lots of stairs.

The room faced sunrise and the jungle. the room was always kept perfect and clean. the view stretched over the payangan rainforest. It was amazing.

overrated and overpriced stay
slow service high prices
i found some issues that soured my experience. the service in the restaurant felt slow. also, i think the food quality do not justify the high prices. i really think they need to improve this aspect, as it impacts the overall impression of the place.
