5-star resort on 230 hectares of Sicilian olive groves and coastline
Leisure
Verdura Resort sits on 230 hectares of olive groves and coastline with a private beach and two distinct sections. Guests have access to three golf courses (two 18-hole and one 9-hole), six tennis courts, and complimentary bicycles stationed around the property. The resort offers a football academy with Italian World Cup star Zambrotta, a kids' club with extended hours, and activities such as archery, horse riding, and cooking classes using ingredients from the organic vegetable garden.
Rooms
Each spacious room has a balcony or terrace, a king-size bed, satellite TV, and a large en suite bathroom with both shower and bath. Some rooms include a private courtyard and terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Free room amenities include a beach bag, towel, and bathrobes.
Dining
The resort has multiple restaurants including Amare (fish restaurant), Liola (pizzeria), L'Osteria, and the Japanese-Sicilian fusion restaurant. Breakfast at Don Eusebio offers a buffet with local specialties such as brioche with lemon granita, smoked swordfish, and olive oil from the resort's olive trees. The organic vegetable garden supplies fresh produce to all kitchens, and guests can take a private cooking class with Chef Sergio using ingredients picked from the garden.
Wellness & Spa
The spa complex includes four outdoor thalassotherapy pools with different water temperatures and jets, a large steam room, two saunas, and an indoor lap pool. Guests can book 1.5-hour time slots to use the free spa facilities, which are limited to a few guests at a time. Treatments include massages, beauty programs, and a full-body massage in rooms with sea views.
Location
The resort borders 2 km of coastline with a private beach and a pontoon for boat excursions to Scala dei Turchi. Nearby attractions include the Valley of Temples (30 min drive), the medieval town of Erice, and the Torre Salsa Nature Reserve. Guests can explore Sciacca (13 min drive) for authentic local restaurants or take a guided craftsman tour of ceramic makers and the oldest wheat mill.
