some issues affected my stay

leaky taps

it was hard to relax by the pool with all the hammering. also, getting basic things like tea or soap seemed like a chore. each time, i had to ask reception, and they seemed reluctant. our shower had mold and leaky taps, fixed with just tape. the staff mostly seemed unhappy, a contrast to other places i stayed at.

the breakfast buffet was acceptable with a mix of continental, vietnamese and american options.

the room smelled of smog coming in. the window to the street did not close properly. the bottom sheet did not fit the king bed and became tangled during the night. like many hotels, there was no separate top sheet on the bed, just a thick doona and i am a hot sleeper.

The location was acceptable. It was near enough to walk to places of interest.

The room (superior pool double or twin) had some issues. the air conditioning was erratic. It swung between freezing and stuffy (i swear it had a mind of its own). the noise insulation was non-existent. I could hear everything from the hallway. i wasn't impressed.

The staff showed a great cute attitude. Lien at reception provided tickets for the show and lent us bicycles to go to the beach. I found the room very special. The pool looked gorgeous. Vu, our driver, was helpful when he drove us to our next destination.

This occurred at 8 a.m. each day. It woke me when I returned from the Old Town late at night.
