Excellent stay by the lake
quiet setting complimentary tea
I found the setting quite beautiful and very quiet. The complimentary tea and hot chocolate at reception were a nice touch. I appreciated the loan of bear spray for hiking. The on-site restaurant offered a delicious dining experience.
The hotel lacked proper maintenance of the ice for hockey on the lake. It would have enhanced the experience with some ice maintenance.

The Cavell Room included two queen beds, a television, and a private bathroom. The room was clean upon arrival. Linens were fresh, and extra pillows were provided.

The hotel sits right on Pyramid Lake. Hiking trails start close to the hotel. This makes exploring easy, and the surrounding scenery is very pretty

dirty sauna old wellness
i thought the location was amazing, but the rooms felt outdated. the wellness area was disappointing. the sauna barely reached 42 degrees, which isnt really a sauna. there was no quiet area to relax. the place was also dirty and felt old. i would not return.

clean rooms amazing location boat rentals
the rooms were so clean i was ecstatic. the location worked amazing. trails were available right outside the door. i was using the boat rentals, too it made the vacation so fun.
The road leading to the hotel was uneven. It was hard when pulling my luggage.

lakefront location gathering areas
the location next to the lake is wonderful. all areas throughout the grounds invite guests to gather, including deck chairs and bbq pits. the trees between the rooms and the lake do not obstruct the view too much (you can still see the lake!).
The wifi was quite bad. It kept going in and out. i couldn't rely on it basically.

the restaurant on site offers very good food. the selection is solid, and i found the quality high for a resort restaurant. i especially liked that it was so convenient.

my cavell room featured two queen beds. the room had a nice view with its own balcony with chairs. the bathroom design was also nice (i liked the fixtures).

the hotel has a superb position on the lake. the setting offers mountain views that are quite fine. there is also a dock that offers nice views of the lake.

the lodge offers fat bike rentals, a hot tub, and a dry sauna. there is also a fitness room with a foosball table, a nice touch. i found the hot tub particularly enjoyable.

the staff were very helpful . the lobby is staffed 24/7 and includes an espresso machine. this was helpful for early mornings when i was wide awake.

Lodge Experience is Charmed
ceiling windows amazing views hour canoe great breakfast
I found floor to ceiling windows in every room. This feature made views of Pyramid Lake amazing. The hotel provided free one hour canoe. I also tried the kayak, fun to use. The Aalto restaurant had great breakfast.
The pathway to my room had a gravel surface. This made taking my suitcases difficult.

The lodge sits right on Pyramid Lake. Mountains surround the area, providing fine views. Hiking trails were easy to access from the hotel, offering variety for outdoor activities. Wildlife is abundant.

The staff took time to explain the lodge's features. They were helpful and friendly during my entire stay. Complimentary cappuccino, coffee, and tea were available in the reception area each morning, a nice touch.

lake location friendly staff great hot tub low cleanliness dirty kitchenette old bedsheets
i loved the location directly on the lake. it made it easy to access the water. the hot tub was a great amenity. i also appreciated the friendly staff.
the room cleanliness was below expectations. the kitchenette was not properly cleaned. i also noticed old bedsheets in the sofa bed.
