CHATEAU ELAN WINERY, Braselton

Chateau Elan Winery offers three types of lodging: an inn, spa suites, and golf villas spread across 3,500 acres. The inn provides rooms in a main building with atrium design, while spa suites place guests directly at the health spa for easy access to treatments and pool areas. Golf villas are standalone units near the golf courses, each with a kitchen and living area, and include on-property shuttle service for convenience.

The resort operates eight on-site restaurants, including Marc, a steakhouse known for its fried green tomatoes, and Versailles, which serves both a la carte breakfast and a buffet. The winery offers guided sommelier tastings with cheese pairings led by staff like Matise, as well as self-guided tastings with six wine choices from an extensive list. Additional venues include Paddy's Irish pub, Louis' House of Bourbon with mixology classes, and Sarazen at the golf course for comfort food.

The resort has four golf courses, including two 18-hole courses (par 71 and par 72) and a 9-hole option, plus a state-of-the-art racquet club with tennis and squash courts. Guests can rent bicycles to explore the estate's private roads, nature trails through canopied forests, and the vineyards. Additional on-site activities include a cooking class, billiards, evening entertainment with live music, and seasonal outdoor swimming with a pool bar.

Chateau Elan sits less than an hour's drive from both Atlanta and Athens, Georgia, with proximity to state parks and historic sites. The resort provides a 24-hour front desk with concierge who arranges car service from the airport, valet parking, and accessible parking with electric vehicle charging stations. A shuttle service transports guests around the property, and the hotel allows pets with a $150 fee though dogs are not permitted in restaurants or pool areas.
