3-star family-run hotel with Eiger mountain views
Rooms & Views
Each room at Hotel Caprice includes a private balcony or garden terrace overlooking the Eiger North Face. The Superior Double Room with Eiger View provides direct sightlines to the mountain from the bedroom. Ground-floor rooms feature patio access and have been newly refurbished with no thresholds for easy movement.
Location & Transport
The hotel sits 3 minutes on foot from Grindelwald train station and directly across from the Firstbahn ski lift. A free guest bus pass gives unlimited rides on lines 121, 122, and 123 to First, Männlichen, and the Eiger Express terminal. For drivers, on-site underground parking is available for CHF 5 per night, and an electric vehicle charging station is on the property.
Dining
A buffet breakfast each morning includes Bircher muesli, local cheeses, cold cuts, fresh breads, and made-to-order eggs and bacon. For evening meals, guests receive a discount on the 5-course menu at Hotel Alpina, located 100 metres away. The hotel also serves small snacks and offers wine/champagne from the bar.
