The 4-star Black Rock Oceanfront Resort Ucluelet offers quick access to Brown's Beach, situated only 6 minutes' walk away. Located approximately 2 km from the historic Amphitrite Point Lighthouse, the resort comprises 131 rooms and 4 restaurants.
Location
The non profit public Ucluelet Aquarium is not far from the hotel, while Pacific Rim Distilling is nestled about 5 minutes away by car. The Black Rock Oceanfront Resort Ucluelet places you 500 metres from Big Beach.
Guests can also visit Ucluth Peninsula, situated nearly a 5-minute ride away. The nearby cultural experience includes the Cedar House Gallery, which is merely 1.4 km away.
For those travelling from afar, Tofino-Long Beach airport is 30 minutes' drive away.

a mixed experience with service issues
rude responseinconsistent service
the first night was not good at all. i was told there would be a wait at big beach restaurant and bar but was not allowed to wait at the bar for a drink. then i was told i could sit on the terrace, but i was ignored by staff. after asking to speak to a manager and waiting another 15 minutes, i left.. i found the response from her rude.

i had a rainforest view room. it was very tranquil. the bed was quite comfortable, and the room included everything i needed (including a small fridge). i found both restaurants offered very tasty meals and good service.
the gym had everything i needed for a workout, but the hot tub was not in use.

i loved the expansive balcony with sunrise and sunset views. hot showers and a soaking tub were in the immense bathroom. fireplaces in the living room and bedroom added extra warmth.
Then after we booked a month later, there was an additional charge to my credit card. it was before our stay, though, so i got it sorted.
