I had a lovely stay at the Portola Hotel. The location is perfect, being so close to both Fisherman's Wharf and downtown Monterey. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, which enhanced the experience. The customer service was exceptional, which made the trip even more enjoyable. However, the dining options were a bit pricey compared to local favorites, and the noise from the nearby coffee shop early in the morning was less than ideal.

The rooms were spacious and very clean, with a generous bathroom. Unfortunately, mine was located above a coffee shop, and it got pretty noisy early in the morning.

The service here was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and were incredibly polite.
